Gotta love New Mexico, you guys put green chiles on everything. I half way expected them in my coffee in the morning LOL.
(seriously though, you should warn us tourist-types ... I was thoroughly confused as to why they were on my steak)
One of the hardest things for me to get used to was in NOT having green chili when I wanted it. In LV there used to be a place called the All American Grill (Can't remember which casino it was in at the moment) that served a hamburger with freshly roasted green chili, it was a fix. Then when Gardunos opened at the Fiesta, I was in heaven, it was as close as I could get to home without actually doing it myself. My dad even took pity on me an bussed a sack of green chili to me and I talked my next door neighbor into taking me to the bus station (I wasn't going there by myself at that time of the evening!) and drive around the block while I went in and got it. The next day I was outside roasting them on the grill and happy as a clam... oh and drinking a New Mexico specialty, Green Chili Margarita! It's not an addiction, it's life blood.
