Nhra website

they just posted on their facebook page (hey karl you should get one :D) that their site is down due to Hurricane Sandy.

and now they are reporting it is fixed and back up

So NHRA.com announced a "Fan Fest" in La Verne for 11/3/12. No mention of where in La Verne. For anyone who's interested it'll be at the corner of 3rd and D in old town La Verne. NHRA's marketing skills are certainly suspect, as has been pointed out many times on THIS website.

Who'd a thunk she would cause SO many problems?

Russell: it's the top story right now with this included:

"The Fan Fest will take place in Old Towne La Verne, at the intersection of D and 3rd streets."

Maybe they heard ya!!!
:D ;) :D

Not to de-rail the thread....but I wonder why when you google NHRA, it defaults to the 'results' page and not the home page....weird

I sent the marketing dept. an email, asking if they are just assuming that the out-of-towners coming in for the Finals even know where La Verne is, much less old-town La Verne. It also got me to thinking if La Verne is trying to make "nice" with the NHRA after years of bad relations. It wasn't too long ago that most of the racers would be hard-pressed to spend a dime in La Verne. Too bad there's not a good spot in Pomona to have the fan fest, other than the fairplex.

After the Winternationals were completed, I met some friends at T. Phillips Alehouse in downtown La Verne, and Allen Johnson, Jim and Toni Yates and the rest of the crew, sat a couple tables over from us. a few minutes later Jimmy DeFrank and some other friends came in also. I know there were others, but I can't remember who else I saw.

The NHRA website was worse than Piss-Poor for so many years. After the improvements the last couple of years you guys need to find something else to ***** about. I did.
