Do they still backhalf top fuel and funny car chassis'? All I ever really see info on if I dig is that a TF car is front halfed 50-70 runs and retired around 180 and and FC is front halfed 120 runs and retired around 350.

Yes on a Top Fuel car, the tubing in front of and behind the driver cocoon flexes and therefore need to be updated from time to time. The cocoon doesn't flex and in theory doesn't wear out. It also takes more time to build the drivers section than the rest of the car by a bunch that's why it is saved.

There was never such a thing as a "Back half" on a Funny Car. When they front half a FC it's motor plate forward, everything behind that is the drivers compartment and replacing that would be building a new car.
