NHRA survey.....

What does the survey ask?

Shoe

It asked what year did I most recently attend a professional NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event? How interested are you in NHRA drag racing, over all experience at the event, entertainment value, will you attend next year, what are you fav classes (TF, FC, PS, PSB, PM, and Sportsman..click all that apply), what outles you use to keep up with NHRA, (such as website, social media, and or magazines) what reasons you attend the races), a whole section on how you feel about 1000ft racing, couple questions about ESPN, a question that said how likely are you to attend next year if NHRA goes back to 1/4 mile racing, and then finished up with the usual, Male/ Female, what part of the country are you from.

Hope that helps Don

Did this survey go out to NHRA members only? I hope those that got them take the time to fill them out. We always wonder if Glendora is listening, here is your chance to be heard, no matter your opinion on a given topic.

I'm guessing that's the case, because I did not receive one. I do, however, always get one following the races that I attend during the year, asking very similar question (well, except for the 1320' question)

I received a survey via email. I have not been an official NHRA member for a few years. I answered and submitted it.
NHRA also sent me an email survey to complete after attending the US Nationals this year. That survey was specifically about my Indy experience.

Really seemed to be curious about how we feel about 1000' versus 1320' racing.

If true, the whole BS reasoning from the Suits and shill racers that 1,000 foot racing would have no effect on spectator ticket sales, seems to be a lot of hot air. Just one of the reasons that NHRA Membership had dropped to approximately 65,000 in 2011.

1,000 foot for short shutdowns like Pomona and E-Town.
1,320 foot for Vegas, Bandimere, Sonoma, Gainesville and long shutdowns.

Oh, wait, that'd just confuse spectators. ;)

I didnt get one but am a member so maybe not sending it to us out of towners? I would really like to participate and tick the yes box to the will I be attending any events next season. I hope it is as it sounds and they are considering a return to 1320! I have never seen a NHRA race over the full distance in person.

I filled it out. Personally 1000 ft. doesn't effect me one way or another, its still Fuel racing in my eyes. The survey very much looks like they're considering going back. The biggest reality of it all though, is that the tracks were shortened right about the same time that the bottom fell out of the economy.$$$ is the reason the stands are half full.

Personally I think it would be cool to have different length tracks, but that will drive up the costs for team owners.
