the pros are pitted on both sides of the staging lanes. that cross over bridge is gonna' be busy.
i would love to go to the rock. it's not the biggest place, but it's unique. going to guess that with the
weather forecast, they will announce a sellout at least one day with weekend?

Those first few rows are CLOSE to the track, but I am right there with you, I would love to sit there.
A couple of notes....
The conditions were kind to the Pro Stocks; the entire top half of the field is in the 6.40s. Several 6.6-second passes in PSM too. Not so kind to Enders, whose team despite switching to Haas pipe still hasn't got a good handle on the setup. It's not only down on power a bit at the Rock (about 1.5mph) but .06 off the leaders, unable to put up truly competitive 60-foots in any of the 3 rounds so far and the tire shake boogeyman is still hanging around. Seems like they had similar problems in Michigan, too, although some of them could be attributed to the cold track. Perhaps they still need more time to sort it out.
I feel bad for Alexis DeJoria. Nobody is more dedicated and deserving than she and she's got a seat on one of Funny Car's premier teams that doesn't lack for funding (neither does Alexis) or talent. But other than brief moments of success like at Indy (she's worked on her RTs, too, and it shows) that car is struggling as much or more than Team Tasca during the first half of the season while her teammate is winning races and leading the points chase. Beckman's a superlative driver and a bit quicker at the hit but Alexis isn't losing rounds lately due to her reaction time or driving faults.
I'd have no way of knowing so it's just conjecture - but you have to wonder if she's thinking why is my car so inconsistent when Jack's car is pretty much a nitro powered bracket car? For a team with access to the same funding and parts as her counterpart, the answer pretty much lies with the crew. Alexis has to be aware and has to be wondering "how much longer will I be relegated to a powerful car with great potential but one that often can't even go rounds, let alone win races? If I were her I'd be demanding some answers. Even a gig with JFR becomes stale when you're packing up after E1.
Just food for thought.

Well, she qualified #2 3.893 at 334 mph and 3 bonus points for quickest and fastest pass in Q4 just ahead of #1 qualifier Ron Capps. Like to see her win this inaugural race at The Rock.

She has Zippy for her CC. He has a very good record both working for others and especially at the JFR camp. I think they are now getting it together.
You are correct, sir. When I posted, Q4 hadn't been posted and I distinctly read a much different number for her in Q3. NHRA makes mistakes often; I made one by not waiting until after all 4 qualifiers.
Let's hope those numbers carry over to tomorrow. Unfortunately its supposed to be about 10 degrees warmer so we'll see. Big fan of Alexis; so is my daughter, who enjoyed a brief visit with her (and Brittany) at the 'Plex a few years back.
