I love seeing Chip King getting that first run in the 5.50's! The man has been in Pro Mod the last 26 years and always with a Dodge product. He was in the 8th pair of cars in the very first NHRA Pro Mod qualifying session at Gainesville in 2001.
There's nothing wrong with the track prep. There were good runs made. All of these tracks have a personality. Also, with the good air, it's easy to be overtuned.

Qualifying sure didn't live up to the hype especially Q2. Lots of excitement and drama though and really fun seeing all the part timers and a first timer that showed up. Missed seeing Zizzo Racing. Track will be warmer tomorrow but we'll see what all the nitro teams learned, might be really good racing.
