NHRA/Camping World New Title Sponsor (1 Viewer)

At least it's not viagra...

Depends.... wait! Strike that!

Viagra should sponsor a Top Fuel car....I mean, in the age of 300" wheelbases it's logical, no?
"The Viagra car of The Greek put up some stiff competition today, but went flat in the finals......."

Any company that wants to sponsor the sport is awesome. They obviously like the product and see a positive future. Coke reminds me when Budweiser was bought and then ended things with Bernstein. I think the overall thought being workd wide their product already sells so why help out. Now knowing the rv/ trailer industry from the inside camping world is great but the way RV's, 5th wheels and travel trailers are made, that industry needs a HUGE overhaul.

HOORAY another series sponsor I'll probably never use.....

Mello Yello - never tasted the stuff
Powerade - can count maybe 8 or 9 times I had one since it's inception
Winston - never touched the stuff
Red Bull - sure...I'm nervous enough as it is
Camping World - if you carry your waste around in a tank with you I'm not interested...plus bears, wolves, mosquitoes
Nextel - can you hear me no?
Busch - don't drink
Crown Royal - if'n I don't drink beer.....
Sprint - ran out of steam
Xfinity - not in my area
Monster energy - zzzzzzzzzz

maybe someday NHRA or NASCAR will get a title sponsor I can really patronize..... View attachment 6216 View attachment 6217 View attachment 6220
Does that mean your leaving this site ?...

According to the NHRA release the Camping World sponsorship takes place immediately. Darn no more of those stupid Mello Yello in the pits commercials. In California it is almost impossible to find Mello Yello anyway. No desire to buy it when I can get Dr.Pepper or Dad's Root Beer.

Thank You Marcus Lemonis!

Now the real work begins to keep this sponsorship alive. Sales.

If you don't camp, tell a friend who does. Don't hunt or fish, tell a friend who does.

Marcus, through Camping World saved our ass'. We as fans and supporters of this sport need to spread the word because this does not fall on NHRA's shoulders to just put up signage. This is a sales driven sponsorship in which we all need to do what we can to insure that Camping World and especially Marcus sees a ROI.

He said it himself.

We will have no one too blame with this association but ourselves if you truly love this sport and want to see it continue and grow.

Tell your friends, neighbors, family and anyone you see filling up headed for a getaway weekend. Boat or RV, Canoe or fishing pole.

It is imperative for us to do our part this time. Opportunity does not meet the needs we require like this, ever.

Do your part, tell a friend. Spread the word. Support and show them you care. The alternative is not going to cut it this time.

Great advice. Didn't know there is a store only 40 miles from me. With hunting season just gearing up I will go there this week to stock up on some things.
I will also tell them what got me here and thank. They may know what I am talking about. 😊

For anyone who questions NHRA's marketability in today's world, Camping World's readiness to grasp the opportunity surely gives a clear answer.
I saw a few comments on Facebook (which is honestly a cesspool if negativity anyway) that it wasn’t a ‘big enough’ sponsor!
I think Camping World have been clever enough to realize how closely aligned their demographics are with motorsport. NHRA also deserves a lot of credit for striking while the iron was hot.

My niece is the financial "guru' in our family. I told her about the Camping World sponsorship & Marcus Lemonis; asked if she knew who he is. She says, are you kidding? He is the Man. So, I'm gathering he is highly respected in the financial world. BTW, he bailed out Krispy Cream....... Whoop!

So another important question. Does this now open the door for many other Energy Drink companies to come in as sponsors since Coke is gone?

God, I hope so.....

I've been chastised for my position on exclusives, especially where it pertains to a sport/climate where corporate level partnerships are so hard to come by. I'm not saying title-rights backing shouldn't come with some extra perks, but it certainly should've exclude opportunities for others that may want to get involved in the sport. Motorsports in general are, and have been vulnerable for a few years now, drag racing in particular.

I as well did not know there are 3 locations 40 miles away from me. Their website is at our fingertips, which is why I pasted it to my post.

MY has never been available in my area as is the case with most of the comments we ever read. I'm a lifelong coke drinker/addict/consumer. Never drove 40 miles to get one but I hope you get my point. There is no need to search for a Camping World store other than a simple Google search or bookmark.

Like I said, our actual support is the only thing that will keep this partnership a relationship.

Marcus is all about second chances. 3 strikes and we're out. It's up to us now. That is the way Marcus operates. No one can save us from ourselves, and that includes NHRA. They are going to have to change as well.

Second chances are sometimes granted. A third is very very rare. Let it not be us who drops the ball on this. For years to come.

Word of mouth spreads far and loud.

Fire sale? I hope not. I prefer to imagine that Mr. Lemonis has long viewed NHRA as a perfect fit for his company's market and has seized the chance when it unexpectedly arose.

An established company headed by a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader hints at more energetic sponsorship activation than we've been used to from a complex-structured global brand.

Neglecting the youth market? Well, we were all youthful once, and so were the people who can now afford to buy RVs.
