Site works fine for me even using crappy Vista... I actually really like the new design and layout....

I'll dig around some more...when I have time to waste...but why did they change the site? Now we all have to learn how to navigate the new site. I don't get it at all. Just tune up the old site, but don't change the navigation. I'd rather not have to spend time learning how to wander through a new site that wasn't necessary.

I'm all about technology, but sometimes 'change' isn't necessary. This is one of those times. It would have been better if they debuted this a week or so ago...but not on the first day of the season. Dummies......

I haven't had time to dig deeper into yet but so far I like it. It looks good, it came up fast on my pc, audiocast works

Firefox only... I think the opening day of season is Not the day to launch a new web page... can't find a flipping thing, hell, it won't even accept my membership number so I can log in... shows membership number not found... I found it fine in my wallet show 12/18/2009 expiration date...

Internet Exploder Will never be run again on a computer in this household...

Yeah, I agree. Why launch on the opening of the season when they (should)know there will be problems? Not very well thought out, but what do you expect from the Glendora crowd. I guess the testing ban doesn't include websites, right Light? Is this part of the new marketing partnership deal they signed with the Chicago firm? Yes, Chicago - that hot bed of drag racing. When that deal was announced 6 months or so ago, part of the deal was to upgrade the website and add an area that we will have to subscribe to for access. That will be coming soon, just wait and see.

Well at least they got rid of little john force walking into the page from the right and doing what he does worst, talking. THAT'S an improvement.

Hype is Good, remember? NHRA.com isn't for anyone that knows a damn thing about drag racing, it's about the unwashed masses... bells and whistles, cotton candy (candyfloss) for those that can't tell an A/FD from a T/F... or a P/S from a SS/AH, or ask why did that dragster got a head start on the chevyII wagon with the hood scoop...

It sure isn't card carrying members...

That is my only real complaint. It should have been launched a couple of weeks ago so we could get used to it. NOW when I want things I have to hunt them down. Oh well.... I'll figure it out.

if it wasn't for the audio cast and a couple of the blogs, don't think I'd visit the site at all... and the only reason for membership is the audio cast.

Lets call it the Dark Days of the NHRA. Kinda seems fitting as to what is going to happen with the series this year.....

well it ain't just me... when the site said my membership number wasn't good and everything... so I checked to see if I pissed off Glendora one too many times... well, guess what member only areas are still being worked on, and why do you think the audio cast are free to all for the first two races?

I feel much better now... at least I got the sweetheart on the phone giggling... and I'm not quite as pissed off and corn-fussed as I was 3 1/2 hours ago...

I'm not real crazy about how the headlines keep changing on me,but then again I have a fairly high RC factor. (resistance to change)

After exploring the site for about an hour, anyone can tell that there wasn't very much thought put into the design. It's not user friendly and there is no way they did a QC check before launching. If they did, who ever did the actual QC should be fired because they missed tons of stuff that needs to be fixed.

I hate it. I recently had my net connection upgraded from 384K to 1.5 meg.
With this new NHRA page it's like I went back to 56k dial-up Slow to load.

Works just fine on my PC and mac at home with Cox Powerboost. Audiocast is working better on the mac after following the upgrade instructions for Adobe Flash Player 8 - apparently eliminates the need for Flip 4 Mac, which caused audiocast to sometimes time travel backwards!

On the downside, it's terrible on PC's at work with crappy Qwest DSL. Photo refresh is miserable. Some field testing with NHRA members with various browsers and connections might have been a good idea before dropping a bomb on the first day of the season!

Glad to see NHRA spent time to fix a non existant problem.
Nothing like starting your car for the first time in front of 100,000 people.
