Mods - Created a photo album, how do Maters view it? Also - I'm not used to low res images. Reducing a 30 meg Indesign 8.5 x 11.0 document to 97K appears to have created a very bad postage stamp. HELP!

You need to know the target picture size that will be posted, i.e. 600 x 400, etc. and size the final image accordingly.
Reducing the pixels per inch helps tremendously. If you scan a picture, it will normally be at 300 pixels per inch, reduce it to 72 pixels per inch and the file size will reduce by a factor of around 17x, depending on how large the original image was.
An old CGI trick is to render very large, or in your case either scan at high resolution or take a large digital photo, and reduce it to the target size and you won't lose much detail.
I can post an image at 600 x 400 with the quality around 50% and the file will be around 100K with lots of detail.
