I always liked John (really, more than his cousin). I coulda' sworn that he runner-up'd at the Tennessee race. Am I misremembering?

PS: I brought a newby to the Englishtown race and my friend (a HUGE Yankee baseball fan) and I "ran into" Jack Clark. He could not have been more cordial - gave us a tour of his pit and even walked us through his transporter. My friend was so impressed to meet a genuine star - I was so impressed to "go behind the stage" at an NHRA event.
We went to the races together several more times but, never got quite the same treatment. (PS: I'm not certain John A. was the driver that time.)
