New Amato team

Pretty good source says a team is in the planning stages for 2010.

I'm a long time Amato fan and would love to see him back at the track. I talked to him for awhile at the Cavallino Ferrari show back in January. He's been staying busy in the collector car markets. I hope everything works out for him to be at Pomona in 2010.

Pretty Good Source = A friend, cousin, brother, mother-in-law, TV ad, NHRA, IHRA, or a guy that stopped me on the street or pits.

Planning Stages = If someone gave me enough money. I would put together a team and go race Top Fuel.

Wait I guess I'm in the planning stage of racing Top Fuel next year.

Come to think of it aren't we all in the planning stage of racing next year.

I don't know if this rumor is substantiated or not, but I will say I would love to see a Joe Amato fielded Top Fuel car out there next year...

...and to fuel the fire a little more, I heard another rumor there's a pretty good fuel tuning tandem who are presently sidelined - they were last seen using Quaker State in a Flopper. And I know at least one of them is on record as saying he prefers the floppers to the diggers, but if the right offer came along...

Disclaimer: I haven't heard, seen, read, or otherwise been told they're going to Amato Racing - I'm merely stating they're presently out there.
