Seems like yesterday, I still remember sitting in my house in the Pocono Mountains listening to the audiocast when it happened. Thinking of Darrell's friends and family today.

I remember that day very well. I was listening on the internet, talking to David Baca when it happened. I told him, oh, oh, sounds like Darrell just got killed. He was a real nice guy and great racer. Too young, Sad.

I was cleaning my closet Saturday and ended up spending a long time sitting and looking at a crew shirt I bought from his brother several years ago that they wore as a fundraiser/memorial. I sure miss that smile.

It's hard to believe its been 10 years. That day was the first time I was ever at the race track in St. Louis.

Truly sad how things turn out sometimes....even more so when you consider the man racing Darrell on that fateful run - Scott Kalitta.
