My local store in Bama called me yesterday and napa is jumping on board with
DSR and Capps next year i saw a copy of the letter given to him, he had been trying to get the Bama Boys in the Door for at least a sit down for 2 years, which we had no luck, and we even have all our teeth anxious to see Capps sell NAPA goods to the good ole boys in the south (and i like Capps) it's all who you know and who you blow it still remains a closed
fraternity!!

Sucks that you couldn't get your foot in the door..................but having a company like NAPA coming in as a Major Sponsor is definitely a good thing for the sport.

Whichever company it is won't be gone... They said it will be downgraded to associate sponsor... Which can still throw out a lot of money..

sort of sucks, Tim Wilkerson did a ton for NAPA years ago. if NAPA wanted to come back, Tim should of got first shot...,,,,, but then again, i guess buisness is buisness.

up with the jones, aka advanced auto parts, bumper to bumper,
CSK, o'reilly & recently auto zone?

if in fact it is the brut deal that is diminishing,
i would guess it was scheduled for a specific time period,
unless unbelievably unexpected results.
they were just using nhra as an inexpensive tool to put their brand
in front of the masses; they picked a great spokesman with ron.

i tend to get excited about non-traditional sponsors in NHRA. we've had oil brands, auto parts stores, and tool companies forever. but the non-traditional sponsors increase marketability.

I for one would certainly rather see Capps in those NAPA commercials than Michael Waltrip. The exposure would be great for drag racing.
