See the photog up front next to the full throttle guy?
The fans were all asking him to step down so they could see.
He said "I have a job to do" but wasn't taking many pictures.
Douchebag.
All the fans behind him were pissed because he continued to stand there not taking pics. I felt bad for the folks over there. They were all "We pay your salary!" He just ignored them. The other photogs were cool, they stepped down.

Paul, glad you had an awesome time bro. One thing your photos do for me, is it captures a feeling for me, a feeling of being back there. Why it makes me a little sad, and I miss it, and the people, your photos remind me of the other side of why Drag Racing is still cool... The people! You don't get it in any other sport.

Have a good Holiday period brother.

Thanks!

Mike

Fantastic pictures and stories - you were so lucky to have the great fan experience and get so close. I can't imagine what it would be like to be on the starting line like that! :D

Thank you so much for sharing the pictures and vid with us! Sure wish I could have been there. It brings back memories of my trip out there a few years ago...

Damn Paul, what a Presentation! I thought you and Chris were doing the Powerade deal, I didn't know you got on the Line you lucky *******!

Great pics Paul, kinda brings a tear to the eye, end of the season and all.

But yet reminds me to look forward to next year and more great memories of this wonderful sport and all the great people in it!!

Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

Nice job of catching the whole scene.

BTW, in your first Wilkerson reception shot, Mater member Mark Benson has his back to the camera and that's his old partner Ron Boyd sitting across from him.

They ran the Benson & Boyd Super Comp car for many years, and were the first members of Tim's alcohol team. They've been there just about all along.

Just wanted to point out that there are celebrities who weren't going down the track.
