Love that nostalgia funny car! Seems like the East coast funny cars are keeping it more nostalgia than the West coast funny cars.
PF, that wasn't an N/FC, that's the real deal 1974 World Championship winning car.

Joe, there are alot of drag racing fans in that neck of the woods too. Don't forget, Bristol was the HQ's for IHRA for 20-30 years when run by the Carrier family. The fans stayed away for many reasons, economic mostly I suspect but also the weather was brutally hot and humid. NHRA bumped this race out another month later to get it away from the rainy season but now its too blasted hot !! The original date for this race was the end of April which can still be pretty cold up in the mountains, and almost a guarantee of rain since it is an NHRA race.
