Las Vegas - Known around NHRA circles as one of the toughest races to win or even qualify for, the Muscle Milk team had an overall decent showing at the final Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event of the year. But unfortunately, the team could not come out on top during eliminations.

Madison Payne qualified the Muscle Milk nitro burning A/Fuel Dragster in the sixth position with a respectable 5.30 at 273 MPH.

In round one, Madison faced Arizona's Jon Bradford, whom she met in the finals of last week's Dodge Nevada Nationals. At the hit, it was Bradford out first with a .022 to Madison's .074. From the start, Bradford never relinquished the lead and took the win with a 5.268 at 272 MPH over Madison's very close 5.272 at 274 MPH. "It was a very close race, and unfortunately for us, we didn't get the outcome we were looking for. We'll try to qualify better in Pomona and end the season strong. I also want to say congratulations to Shawn Cowie for winning the Regional Championship. He deserves it!" Madison said.

Next, the Muscle Milk team moves across the Mojave Desert to Pomona, California, for the season-ending In-N-Out Burger Finals this coming weekend. Madison and car owner Duane Shields would like to thank Muscle Milk, NGK Spark Plugs, GRP Connecting Rods, Clean Boost, and Brad Anderson Enterprise for their continued support this season.
