I'd wager yes, if the parties of the contract were still the same, or if there was a clause (likely) that said something akin to "XAI, or its assigns/designees" that legally would transfer rights/obligations to the new (here public) company. I'm sure as complex as these contracts were like to that provisions were in for both sides. I could be wrong, but I'd bet $20 there were terms like that.

Nope this happened in middle TN. Since I moved down here, I've discovered how big and crooked the TVA is.
To put it lightly, they came in with college degrees and took advantage of the less intelligent TN people and now TVA is out of control.
