Charger, Stratus, Avenger, Now Dart? What do they do take the same EXACT car and use different styling?
Charger = Mercedes platform
Stratus/Avenger = Mitsubishi platform w/Hyundai engine
New Dart = Fiat platform/engine
My new Dodge 2500 - built 100% in Saltilla, Mexico
MOPAR, without the injection of Fiat money, would be sitting on the sideline, ala Pontiac... At least its not that ugly-ass Fiat 500 getting the namebadge...![]()
A good article on the history of the Dart:

They all look the same give or take, and I don't know if I buy chrysler's imported from detroit slogan. Maybe it just appiles to chrysler
It applies to 'home office'...Detroit. Just like home office for Honda and Toyota is Japan. A company's home office is where the majority of the employment and revene stays. Shop local...shop Detroit.
If you buy a Canadian built 300, the profits and revenue go to America even though the car was built in Canada. If you buy a US built Accord the car may be made here, but the profits and revenue go back to Japan.
But it does make the females go, "Awww!" and somethings that's enough for some people.![]()
