Monroe Guest/Brandon Greco Crash.

you have GOT to be kidding. NONE of the aforementioned incidents had anything to do with the track.....at all. I spoke to a couple drivers/crew of the involved cars. None mentioned the track to me at all.

4 MAJOR incidents? With the exception of Guest/Greco, you have GOT to be kidding Part Deux. since I was there when Scotty died, the track has been vastly improved for safety. I was there, I know. Talked to a lot of crew guys. case closed.

REX

X2!! Sorry I missed you Rex. I had to get a new phone on Thursday and I had your number on my old phone. It was a great weekend in E-Town.

No complaints about track safety from this crew member. Can't we just be happy that these two guys (and all the other competitors who had accidents for that matter) walked away from a very ugly accident instead of blaming the racetrack. Don't you think Goodyear was over in Monroe's pit later that night trying to figure why the tires came off? Hard to equate the Pro Mod crashes to the racetrack either. There is a Pro Mod crash at seemingly every event!

and for me, I did the full 4 days, got comped tower suite tix for Sat & Sun saving me almost a hundred bucks, fast fast weather other than maybe a little spritz during the cleanup from Leah LeDuc, and lastly nobody died. by far one of the best weekends in quite sometime, I'm happy I went this year, even though Motel6 Sucks (good thing it's no longer with NHRA).

Monroe got really lucky on his incident, Leah's could have been much worse had the Chutes not come out when they did! Thank God they fixed that Sand trap!!

By Leah's own admission, she was late on chute button on the steering wheel, and then had trouble getting to the manual ones.

There was nothing wrong with the track at all this weekend. It was one of the smoothest tracks we have raced on all year.

If I'm not mistaken, Jimmy Prock said the track's smoothness was one of the primary reasons the cars are so fast at E-Town. He also mentioned the proximity to sea level and the temps playing a part, but the lack of any real "bumps" was the primary reason. I'm sorry I didn't make it this year. :(
