Sorry I missed the chat last night but my brother was in a motorcycle crash and there was a complication with his surgery so I had to go up to the hospital with my mom. I felt I should let you guys know since I started this thread and then did not show!!!!!!!:(

Thanks Karl, I missed you guys, too!!! My brother is gonna be ok, just a long recovery. I unfortunatly came upon the accident after it happened and all I seen was his motorcycle under a garbage truck. I just knew he was gone but someone was watchin' out for him that day and he was able to get away from the bike before it went under the truck. He did hit the side of the truck with his right side but luckily he was wearing his helmet!!!! He completely shattered his elbow and the had to reconstruct it. That is what will require all the therapy. His helmet did save his live according to his doctor. I looked at it at the hospital and it had about a 2" crack with part of it caved in!!!

Wow that's a shocking story, Lynn. Thank God he's "ok" (per se). We see alot of vehicle accident severe-trauma victims where I work - and I can tell you, that's usually not the case. Colorado doesn't have a helmet law. We've seen plenty of helicopter lifts from the accident scenes where people who were not wearing them leave the ground hanging from a thread but don't even make the 7-10 minute flight to the hospital. It's really sad.
