Mohegan Sun Pro Mod team heading to Englishtown for Summer Motorsports Spectacular

<p> Plainfield, CT – The two car Mohegan Sun Pro Mod racing team is heading to Englishtown, NJ for a match race this Saturday, June 7th. Due to Paul Athey’s injuries sidelining him for the remainder of the season, Scott Filkins will be handling the driving duties in Paul’s popular 1941 Willy’s this weekend. Teammate Ron Iannotti will also be at the event.
“Although I’m unable to drive my car for the rest of the year, I still want my car to be out there competing”, says Paul Athey from home. “It will be a little different for me having someone else drive my car for me, but in a way I’m looking forward to watching it run from outside the car. Scott Filkins is a very capable driver and I feel comfortable with him taking control of the car for this event.”
The 38th annual P.C. Richard & Son Summer Motorsports Spectacular features Nitro Funny Cars, Alcohol Funny Cars, Pro Modifieds, Outlaw 10.5 cars, Wheelstanders, Jet Cars, Top Fuel Harleys, Monster Trucks and more. This event will have something for everyone and promises to be an exciting show!
The gates open at 5pm and the show gets started at 8pm.
