Here is the entry list for Milan. Pro Mod is gaining entries but the rest are shrinking. Only 5 TF and 6 FC. I’m a little surprised that Baldwin and Foley aren’t going. McIntire too.

It’s the short notice of the season announcement, and being so close to the first race. A lot of racers that were at the first one have/had prior commitments for the Milan race.

I'm planning on going Friday, I haven't been to Milan since 74-75. But it was the 1st Dragstrip I ever raced at. In highschool. Lol

The Nitro attendance is telling me it's not all about the money, as some seem to think.

There are several teams within a 4ish hour drive that have as good a shot as anybody to grab the 50K.

@Kyle Wurtzel @Tony Smith Any input from you guys? Did the IHRA Schedule come out too late to get people off work etc.? Not in the budget regardless of pay out? Don't care about the pay out? Safety concerns? Not interested period?

It’s called Darana Dragway-Milan. Not sure why he had to change the name.

$50k or less is not enough money without a preexisting budget.

Not enough exposure for marketing partners.

12:15am top fuel qualifying runs is something I personally am not interested in.

I’ll have to look at the event shirt I bought but I’m pretty sure the schedule on the back of it has almost all the tracks he bought named either Darana Dragway or Darana Raceway except maybe 1 or 2

He has put a ton of money into tracks, equipment and payouts. I don’t know how much money he does have, I’m afraid that his current business model isn’t sustainable long term and we could end up losing the tracks he purchased. I think it’s odd and confusing naming the tracks the same, but he can name them what he wants as long as he can keep them open. I’ve always thought it was a little confusing having two Firebird raceways.

nice touch. nhra should do that during their national event tv broadcasts.
