JFR can orchestrate any scenario he wants to play out! As many times as he has dived for Ashley and Courney in the past it wouldn't suprise me!
are you f'n serious ?
put me down for $20 on Courtney !! straight up -
I may disagree with 98% of George's comments , and 100% in this case on Courtney !
but, go away and leave, seriously ? nitromater has lost enough good members too this type of bs .
I lobby for the need of a dislike, and what a dick option .. or start participating again .. !
...and that's why NHRA drag racing is such a sham that is dying on the vine.
Coutrney is a joke, thanks to her father..
The late Al Hofmann got it right when he called Force out when he brought Tony in as a blocker.
Was that the beginning of the downfall? I think so.
The first thing the NHRA can do is eliminate muli car teams in the same class to prevent this kind of tainted joke of a championship.
I honestly think I would take interest again like the old days if championships weren't bought or maneuvered. Anyone has the right to disagree, but I think if you look back, the heart of competition was ripped out when motorsports allowed teams to stack the deck. The Michael Waltrip racing incident was just a perfect example of what goes on each and every day, but his guys were dumb enough to say it on the radio.
Geez, somehow, were were all offended when he was caught? Like it doesn't happen every day?
Please...
Force leaving might be a good thing.
John has his own sponsors to answer to, and don't you think he's going to try his damn near hardest to win one more for Castrol and Ford before they bow out?
John is not going to dive, trust me....
I think George leaving would be the best thing!
George, You say Force leaving might be a better thing?
I suspect you leaving would be the better thing. I suspect I'm only one of many that has had it with your non stop doom and gloom with NHRA drag racing.
I hope after being a fan for 56 years if I get bored with it I'll just walk away and not go on a message board and try to ruin the sport for the majority of the fans.
George, I hope you find out what the real problem is.
You just be too young to remember the famous Botched Tony Pedregon dive at Pomona about 15 years ago?
I am! Please refresh my memory on this..
Mind you this is a guy who hasn't been to a race in 10 years!
Mind you this is a guy who hasn't been to a race in 10 years!
I am! Please refresh my memory on this..
Joe, you remind me of Clint Eastwoods character in Gran Torino.
Every post you write says the same thing, "get off my lawn"
Negative, nasty and a total lack of basic respect for someone elses...ANYONE else's view.
I may not agree with your posts, but I do respect your right to post them here, and I do look for something to consider every time.
I'm not a cheer leader..I look at things objectively.
I'm not a reactive personality, I'm more proactive. I've been self employed since 21, and the one constant thing about surviving in this country is that if you are not planning and preparing today for life 5 years down the road, you will soon be out, like yesterday, only to find out tomorrow morning.
Joe, you are a time card punching, lunch box carrier, and you think like a trained and leashed unch box carrier. There is nothing wrong with punching the clock as long as you have an open mind to what's going on outside of those walls. Your mind is as closed as it gets. Your life, your choice I guess...
Some have the ability to think like a self sufficient person, and what it takes to be responsible for yourself, and some do not. IMO, you strike me over and over as a person who does not, and furthermore, you also strike me as a person who might be totally lost if you had to provide for your family without your boss telling you what to do, and how to do it, and steered mentally to think and remain in their box.
You fix today's problems with what fixes the problem today. To properly fix them, you need to fix the problem for 2020....in 2015. Like steering a ocean going freighter. You can turn the wheel right now, but it takes a long time before it finally starts to turn, and that's the thinking to run a smart business.
You belittle those who are looking down the road for a fix because you simply do not have the ability to tune into that channel, and you do not see past the horizon. I'm not nuts Joe, and I'm not doom and gloom. I'm simply unapologetically pragmatic, and I think I can see how it's all developing.
If I didn't love the NHRA, and the fun that it has brought to my life, I wouldn't be concerned and I wouldn't post.
I list what I feel that needs to be corrected, and why. If some like Joe take offense at my lack of Pom pom shaking posts, I suggest not reading them.
Our country has changed. Our kids have different interests. At some point, those who are currently participating in the NHRA and its status quo posture will soon grow older and at some point, leave without that void filled by someone else. Unfortunately, that has been happening in the stands, and you simply can not grasp that fact, or why. And again, you are closed minded to the facts, and call me names for pointing out the absurdly obvious.
Just what is attractive about the NHRA to those young people who aren't interested in motor sports?
It isn't Courtney Force....
..and you still fail to grasp or understand "why" those covers are all over the empty stands...
Not everyone has the financial means to physically go to a race but still follow the sport otherwise. C'mon Joe!
"It is in the best interest of the sport to limit the number of teams owned by one owner group," said Graham Light, senior vice president of racing operations, NHRA.
The definition of an owner group is any affiliated individual or individuals who have a direct or indirect form or amount of common, joint or shared control, ownership, financing, management or revenue sharing from a competing vehicle's performance.
