A friend of mine in the drag racing world is friends with Paul Rodger's manager. So I was able to snag tickets and Backstage passes to the show when it came to the local casino.
The concert was one rocken show and Paul is one of the truly best rock singers of all time. A great showman too. He loves what he does and it showed tonight even off stage prior to coming back on he was smiling and appeared to be enjoying himself.
Well, thinking I was going to get a chance to meet one of the greats of all time, it was a big thrill to me. So I brought my camera, sharpe and a cd cover for him to sign. Before the meet and greet we were told "no autographs, no photos, don't even ask". Everyone was rushed in and the band was in a line, then people with codes on there passes got to go before others even though we all had back stage. I almost didn't get to go in but the drummer saw me and said to come in I got to meet every one but it was a real quick deal. They were all really nice but the management were trying to rush everyone in and out of there. And the band was staying right there at the hotel so they didn't have a plane to catch.
I expected that they would sign and pose for pictures but that wasn't the case. It was a great show anyway. I guess Kenny Bernstien isn't so bad after all.
