The Pel-State Timing Truck is still in existance, it's here in Austin, Texas. This was a portable drag strip that was set up at the Opelousas Airport, and taken down after each event. Dave McClelland got his announcing start on top of this truck. It's old and rough, but we've been working on it the last few weeks getting it in shape for the Reunion. We've neutralized all of the rust, scrubbed the paint and yesterday we touched up all of the lettering in distressed paint to keep it looking old. It will be parked in the center of the Cacklefest. Hard to believe, but it still has the entire dragstrip inside of it.

NICE!!! Thanks for the video!
You really need to try and make it out Mel, especially to the Friday Night Meet & Greet. All of the old racers will be there. Last year several people submitted pictures of the "Plain Vanilla 'Cuda" for the event slideshow.
