Ask John Hale how much records mean? He won the DRO AA/FC Championship because of an ET record... More points is always a good thing... If that wasnt the case nobody would try for the extra qualifying points given for #1-3 in each round...

Completely agree with you here! Yes, congrats to Matt for recording the first sub 4 second timeslip in a FC.. The real congrats goes to Delago and the team.

No disrespect to Matt - he's a great driver, and one that I respect very much, however I would have to think to run that number the setup had to be pretty damn-near perfect, and Matt was most likely just along for the ride..

I agree, but the driver excelled at his job just as much as him crew chief. How many people in drag racing history can tell you that Dale Armstrong was the first chief to 300 mph before saying Bernstein was the first?

How many people know that Austin Coil was behind all of John Force's 15 championships instead they just credit John Force. This is a sport where the true fans know who tuned what, but the average fan will just be like "Hagan. 3.99 yay.

The sport works on the fame of the driver. Most people never ever heard of Austin Coil. Just like Britney Spears, "hit me baby one more time" was a huge hit and is credited to her, how many people even think about who the hell wrote it?
