I started a yahoo group for the March Madness college basketball.

The field will be announced on Sunday, you can sign up now and enter your picks once the field is set

current scoring is a point for every round for the first 3 rounds, then it goes up a point every round thereafter. I am open to other scoring options though so let me know if this doesn't work.

Looks like it's just me and you.

I set this up several years ago before I moved and had 156 people in @ $5 a piece. Great time..gave away trophies and everything..along with a substantial 1st place money.

I work at the VA now and they are really putting the hammer down for any gambling..so I didn't even tell anyone about this one.

And with the points setup..

Round 1 = 1
Round 2 = 2
Round 3 = 3
Round 4 = 4
Round 5 = 6
Round 6 = 8

It's like the countdown..you can have the most wins and still lose..hehe.

Sorry to crowd in on your thread PJ..I just love March Madness.

I love March Madness too. I think it is the best Championship decider in any sport. One thing is for sure ... you don't hear any cryin' or bellyachin' when it is over and there are no doubts about who the Champeens are.

The best bracket I ever had was 2002 when Maryland won it all ... I won several pools that year, the biggest one being a Casino employees pool which paid over 3K!!! The worst year I had was 2006, I had Oregon going to the Final 4 but they got beat by George Mason in the second round.

I just figgered out that this year marks my 20th anniversary of filling out brackets ... 1988 my freshman year in high school was the first time I filled on out. Yet another reminder of how old I am getting ...
