Wow Maple Grove is the Cinderella story of the year for the N.H.R.A. !!!

Who would have predicted this show would have been so well attended. Nice to see it happen.

Thanks for all the great photo's and it's really nice to see Dom Lagana doing so well. I have watched the Lagana family drag racing since the early 60's

Good pics Joe!!!

I am surprised by people's reactions to Maple Grove's attendance this past weekend. I have been there when it is ball shrinking cold with some rain and there was a very good crowd. It should only make sense that if the weather is good, the crowd will be that much better.

Friday was "Africa Hot" in the pits and stands! I want October back! Nice sweatshirt and not sweating your a$$ off just like the crews!

does maple grove offer spectator parking on pit side?......if not, do you have to walk behind wall and cross over
staging lanes to get to pit side?

It's been a few years that parking on the Pit side hill has stopped. IMO it sucks because the line entering on the spectator side absolutely sucks! Stood in line for almost an hour because the cashiers are so sloooow! I hope M/G see this and streamline there procedure.

People who run race tracks do things their own way and sometimes that can be very frustrating for sure such as standing in long lines.

I went to a local short circle track here in Florida the other night with a friend who runs an open wheel asphalt modified car for a 50 lap race the promoter did something I have not seen done in years.

It started to rain just a few laps in the 50 lap race so he cancelled the show and he announced what I thought would be everyone getting a rain out ticket for the next race.

The entry fee for the pit area had been $30.00 @ person and when we pulled up to the ticket window they refunded all our money and they did it for everyone which really surprised me.
There had to be a few hundred people just in the pit area alone.

Once a promoter has your money I have never seen them offer you your money back!!!! It's always been a rain out ticket for a future race.

Yes very long lines everywhere. More vendors would be nice for next year. Ran out of water saturday and didnt replenish for sunday. Alot of people were looking for water.

note to tracks. post large sign with seat pricing above ticket booth (like a menu at a fast food restaurant), so folks in line can study it before they get to ticket window and ask the same 27 questions the ticket lady has been hearing and explaining all morning long.
if you have GA seating, show on the sign where it is located.
