LRS / Tim Wilkerson

If you don't like Wilbur's blog why do you keep reading it?
I'm just saying........

I'll take any news on Wilk I can get. Been a fan since Fred was tuning him but it is hard to get around the cats and ducks on the pond to get news on the LRS team.

got a chance to say hello to tim for a few minutes one year he drove
the 'pro motorsports' FC @ brainerd - don't remember the circumstances
but he needed points for the big bud shootout and was in that car
for that race..... late 90's i'm guessing

And don't forget Uncle Bob Wilber scribblin' for Timmy's team.

From top to bottom, one of the classiest, the-way-it-should-be-done teams in our sport.

I'm gonna up the ante: here's to a top three finish in aught 12.

Doc

I think Bob remembers everyone he's ever exchanged emails with. He updates his blog regularly, and yes it might contain stuff about cats and other non-drag racing info, but you can count on him at least once if not twice a week. Oh, and GO WILK!

Glad to see Wilk make the top 10! :D Came real close to winning Indy again! Fuse was just a little too short.

Bummed for Tasca... I feel some changes for that team in 13.

Yesterday was tooooo exciting....and...then... an OIL DOWN penalty.

Sorry, Tim doesn't need to give us THAT much drama.

I loved that he raced within himself, "small ballin' everyone to death" and Daniel's interview was pretty good too. I'm looking forward to seeing Tim, Bob & the entire LRS crew in Vegas at the end of October. Hopefully I'll be able to congratulate him on his ascension up the Fuel Coupe points standings...

Great post Gordon, I agree, Danial's interview was great.

Daniel's interview was great and I think the emotion and excitement in his voice showed more than his words as to how big that really was for the team.

I know all the teams work hard but if you go to Indy and see all the big shops that those teams work out of and then see Tim's shop. Its just amazing to me that they can even compete with the other teams. I would love to see them pull a Hight from a couple of years ago and win the whole thing out of 10th place.

Everyone loves a self-made single-car (for the most part) driver/CC/owner who beats up the multi-car teams.

Erase all the racing done this year, thanks to the countdown (blah). He's got as good a chance at ending on top as anyone out there. The bottom half of the countdown looks mighty stout (Wilk Arend, JForce, CPedregon, CForce)....might be six races worth of upsets

Hey - It worked out OK for Robert Hight a few(?) years ago.:)

I'll probably never need a Levi, Ray & Shoup software system and I probably won't need yacht services any time soon but...I really appreciate Dick Levi making it possible for me to see Tim Wilkerson race. Tim is one of the things that is still really cool about drag racing.

I was at Norwalk this year when Tim made it to the final. I was hoping he would win, but Zippy was too much. I watched Tim in the pits. He's everywhere. One of the hardest working drivers/tuners I've ever seen. Glad to see him in the countdown. Hope he does well. :)
