This will hopefully be my first time in Reading. I'd like to know the best
places for lodging in terms of getting to/form the track. Any ideas?

TIA...

I usually stay at one of the hotels in Wyomissing. Traffic isn't great no matter how you get to the track, but if you stay in Wyomissing, you are not competing with all the cars coming in from the PA Turnpike. At this time, it may be hard to get a hotel room in the hotels closest to the track. You may have to be at one of the hotels an exit or two east or west of the Morgantown exit of the turnpike. Hotels in the Exton area will be one exit east of the exit for the track.

Ill be there sat and sunday, live about 75 min from track,When i stayed overnight pottstown was only about a 15-20 min drive.

Tom-- you want to beat traffic get to the track early. get there by 7;30-8 and you will not have to wait long to get into the parking lot.

Leaving will be a different story:D. That is one thing I don't miss about going to the Grove, the traffic getting out to the Turnpike sucks!

Unless you know the back way out of the track to the turnpike ;) Unfortunately, I know how to drive it but don't know the road names..you know, I turn right at the big rock and left at the red barn kinda way ... It is quick if you stay in Pottstown but I would only recommend the Comfort Inn - a few others in Pottstown are very seedy and not in a good neighborhood.

also if you stay in Pottstown its about 30 mins (20 mi) to the track.
Taking Rt 100 to Rt 422W to Rt 82 (Birdsboro) to Rt 10 to Alleghenville Road, about 2mi to Bowmansville Rd and you are there.
