Lets save the NHRA (8 Viewers)

Issue - what cars? Seems like only SUV/Crossovers and Trucks (and vans) are all that is left.

Curious - do you consider PSM to be "Pro-Suzuki" ? Seems to have similar issues PS is criticised for.

Allow blowers in Pro Stock. You can buy a supercharged factory stock car , so…..?

Before you say “but but but, we have Pro Mod”, those guys don’t want to go full professional. Let the pros run a power adder - blowers, not turbos. And make them centrifugal if you want the class to have its own identity from Pro Mod. The hood scoops would be plumbed into the blower inlet

Allen Johnson wanted to do that, run the factory super charged engines in PS bodies but nobody agreed with him. The teams have too much invested in the current platform.

Yes but the difference is no matter which engine all the motorcycles are going to look the same, not much bodywork to change appearance. The cars are very obvious which is which. The Ford was running a DRCE a few years ago and unless you are a diehard fan you just see a Ford. IMO if you had 10 body styles all with DRCE power it would be a lot more interesting to watch.
Also if no one is complaining about pro Suzuki it tells me not many care about the class. If you come right down to it if nitro disappeared no one would be at any NHRA event. Fans come for nitro and then the stands empty out for all the other classes. If we want to fix it we have to be honest and admit where the problems are.

Heck if NHRA didn't have some of the silly body rules we would probably have some of the older body styles still running. Ever wonder why Dodge didn't run their premier muscle car, the Challenger, because it didn't fit into the NHRA box a PS has to fit in. PS lets run factory muscle cars, Oh wait you can not run that one, LOL.

Open it to any previous PS year car, Pinto Vega anything that was run since the start of the class.
Anything to keep from see SUVs from running.

Pro STOCK any factory body, period. Only mod allowed wheel well to fit rear tire. No wheelbase, height, width spec.

Does the name Matt Smith mean anything to you?

Yeah about the same as Alan Johnson....

my point being that Suzuki dominates that class almost as much as the Camaro in PS, and also a class that once had a lot more variety likewise, also like PS. So calling PS "Pro Camaro" - just a bias against the bow tie or a truly objective criticism? Plus I think there could be the similar criticism applied about rules changing to favor Suzuki like the claims against the Camaro (which I don't buy into). However I don't have any emotional or other investment in PSM so I don't really care, and I probably agree with Ken on that point.

Angie Smith means something too, but as much for dachshunds to me as anything. Doxie lovers score high in my book.

Gainesville is the only race this year that has run the bikes. the qualified field was 9 Suzukis and 7 Beulls.
To me that hardly qualifies as Pro Suzuki.

X2 on some night races ! I have seen good turnouts of young people at nighttime rock/country concerts. It's so hard for contractors to find employees to work in the sun. Older people did/still do, work outside because we don't know any different. Times change, many jobs now are in air-conditioned offices, factories or even work from home jobs. Let's try something different! Can't hurt, but doing events the same as 30 years ago ,might. I always thought the motocross guys doing jumps and wheelies entertained the crowd very effectively during downtime.
