If theyd let us run a 25 gallon pump and 44 mag, I'd be there.
There is nothing low $$$ in Heritage Series racing today.Another thing I like about this racing is a couple guys can pool some $$ together and still go nitro racing.
Too bad the majority of it is out west.
Funny cars were running in the 5.80s at that timeFor what it's worth, Leah Pruitt (might have been Pritchett then) won the HRHS national championship (N/FC) in 2010. If I recall, the times were mid 5.60s at about 260mph, a bit quicker than today's PM stuff. Not bad for a 6-71 blower, 1 mag, 80% and a weenie fuel pump.
Ahh, thanks! I thought they were, my bad.Heritage Series cars have never been limited on Nitro percentage.

1/4 mile? The ran 1000' at Indy.In 2010 NFC were nowhere near running 5.60s the reunion had 36 fcs for a 16 car field #1 qualifier was 5.78 with a bump I think @ 6.04.
I believe they are going to invade US131MSP this weekend & we might just have to check 'em out....Another thing I like about this racing is a couple guys can pool some $$ together and still go nitro racing.

Well, it's certainly not my first time being incorrect! Those are not Heritage legal funny cars running at Martin. Those are outlaw cars with big pumps.
I think it's to have some degree of separation ET-wise from other classes like Pro Mod. A crew guy for Tim Boychuk told me something like that a couple years ago at Pomona. The 1,000 foot was a bit awkward the first time after seeing these cars run to 1320 all the time, but at the Big Show it works. And they've really tightened up the racing - Indy was a really good show with some close racing!Heritage cars run 1/4 mile everywhere other than during a Big Show event. Never understood why, seems pretty stupid when the alky cars run 1/4 mile at those same events.
