Regularly referred to as a soccer mom, or daddy day care mobile?
I have stayed at the Ramada Raceway Inn, or whatever it is for 59.95, not bad actually. It's close to the track also. I prefer to stay on the strip though. Monte Carlo once, and Stratosphere another time. Both nice places.
You're right, you can get some great rates at Circus Circus... but as far as I'm concerned that place is a dump (from my previous experiences). Granted I've not been there for a few years...
How was your stay there Tim?
My wife and I are going back the week after thanksgiving and we are staying at The Venetian.
You'll find out what expensive is in a Hurry there!
Rent a mini van!!!
We got rooms comped at the Venetian because my wife likes to gamble and is usually pretty lucky. So last January, we went to Vegas with another couple, who had gotten us all rooms at the Venetian comped because this guy will blow 100 grand easy in Vegas. That is entirely out of my league but when we were there, my wife and I got Player's Club cards at Venetian (which we always do when we go to Vegas regardless of where we stay). Anyway, we happened to be out there when the first NHRA test sessions were happening at The Strip. I found a way to the track and take in some test runs, leaving wife at the Venetian and she played and won more than she lost, and lo and behold, she got an invite from the Venetian to come and spend some more money while they comp us a room. We managed to get it while the Nationals were going on. I would never stay there and pay for a room although if her luck is bad, we're gonna end up paying I suppose. How the Hell did you score a room at the Venetian? I don't even think of staying at those Strip hotels, $200+ a night is a lot of Natl. event $$$!
