Larry Morgan R/U Interview

Did anyone catch Larry's post race interview? He was talking about when he doubled up in '89 (I think I got that right) his winnings totaled about $120K, and he was saying something to the affect of he doubted he could do that today. I think he was trying to get across the fact that purses have gone nowhere since then, while we all know what has happened to the costs. Anyway, I'm a big fan of Larry's, and I thought it was kind of funny that he threw a little dig out there regarding payouts but it prbably went unnoticed.

I thought the exact same thing when I heard the remark. It's a fact, purses have gone no where in the past 15 years .

You always have to listen closely when he is talking because NHRA is cringing over what he might say. "Can't fix stupid" t-shirts come to mind.
