Thanks so much for reaching out and playing Drag Race Bracket Bonanza. I have attached the official ladder from the NHRA, where we get our brackets from. Because of the four-wide format, they spread the byes out to 2 quads in the first round.
You are right that in a 14-car ladder for two-wide, the bye would apply to the second round.
