Koretsky Gives Anderson Good Race in Opening Round

ENNIS, Texas, Sept. 23, 2007 -- Progress was the important word in Greg Hill's Indicom Electric/Nitro Fish Pro Stock pit area Sunday after a good weekend performance in the O'Reilly Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex, near Dallas.

The team qualified 16th and driver Kenny Koretsky gave low qualifier Greg Anderson a good race in the opening round. Koretsky, of Richboro, Pa., had a slim starting-line advantage (.074 to .081) but Anderson lit the win light in 6.678 seconds at 206.54 mph to Koretsky's 6.721 at 205.16. Anderson went on to a runner-up finish.

"We were just happy to qualify," Koretsky said. "The car ran good down low and we were No. 4 in the 60-foot time. We are very optimistic. Eddie (Guarnaccia, team crew chief) and the guys have the car working well and we are looking forward to going to Richmond (Va., Oct. 5-7)."

"We made good runs this weekend and the car was very stable," Guarnaccia said. "It didn't shake or quiver once."

Hill, meanwhile, added, "The crew was making adjustments to the car and we had a good set-up on race day. We got down the track and had the 11th-best run of the round, but we were up against the three-time champion."
