The Justin Ashley Racing - Davis Motorsports Top Fuel Dragster team is off to a great start and is currently in 6th place to begin the season after a quarterfinal finish at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals Presented by Protect The Harvest.
Justin Ashley qualified eleventh with a decent 3.96. In round one, Justin faced Shawn Langdon in the DHL car. As the lights came down Justin got off the line first and never looked back as he made his quickest run in his young career, stopping the clock with a scorching 3.72 at 323 MPH!
In the quarterfinals, Justin faced eventual winner Doug Kalitta in a rematch of the NHRA Finals last season. Kalitta was on a quicker run and took the win light with a 3.70 to Justin's 3.96 which ended the weekend for the Strutmasters team.
