Josh harts New 2026 ride (10 Viewers)

Sorry folks Stevie Wonder could see this one coming. A very good driver with a big dollar sponsor going with him. As i mentioned in previous threads I had several really good conversations with him both in his TAD days as well as a T/F pilot and he was always a gentleman to to talk to and carried and presented himself like a professional. He will do well at JFR.

the article published on nhra.com also said further announcements about the program will be made at the conclusion of the season.
josh also seems to have ties with tech-net, and both josh and JFR have a common sponsor from the past. advanced auto parts.
FWIW Advance auto parts may not be in a financial position to do anything, let alone spend money on a racecar, especially after this whole first brands bankruptcy debacle.

OK, now that they have a driver perhaps they can turn their attention to giving Hart a competitive car. 340+ is nice but not when it's paired with mid-3.70 ETs and tire smoke when Grubby tries to get the car to move in the front half. They get it right on occasion but unless the track temps are below 100 degrees it's often 3-400 feet and poof unless they take a lot of clutch out of it.

Are the fuel cars having issues with substandard clutch discs again? I've heard it mentioned a few times. Seems like compared to years past, everyone in both nitro classes is just a bit off.

It's hard to say what's going on when it comes to the consistency of that car and others. I don't buy the clutch disc complaints. I've heard some of those cars have as many as 400 - 900 discs allocated to them. I might currently have around 100 new discs and 100 used discs. So, who knows what rabbit hole some have gone down into.

While he's not as personable as some, that's ok with me. If Grubby gets the car back to being consistent, that car will be semis or more most of it not all the time. He is known for his RT prowess which was an issue for Brit at times. Good to see the car keep going more than anything else. Maybe being around the JFR guys can bring him out of his shell. If not, it's still ok to be reserved and to the point.

WOW ! did not see that coming. I just knew Vandergriff was lock
Really? I thought it was the worst kept secret that Hart would get it, especially since he said he would be racing in 2026 when he announced sale of his team. Personally, I WISH Jordan would have gotten the ride because he is more appealing to me as a personality, but I'm glad Hart has a love for this sport and wants to continue to race Top Fuel.

Hart was hard to pass up when he brings $$$$

i'm thinking his pre-gators bash @ his place in ocala will be huge next spring. would be fun to check it out.

was not aware of advance auto parts restructing. here is an article from 03/25 explaining their strategy.

from a previous thread about Brittney and Josh's spat

I didn't like how he came to top fuel like he was big time and demanded respect. Same thing soured me on Whit Bazemore and Jerry Toliver (although Toliver redeemed himself later and became a favorite). Tony Stewart is world champion in multiple forms of racing and he came into drag racing humble and appreciative of the other competitors.
Have you ever talked to him?

Guess you don't know about the $100 million deal Josh signed to bring Burnyzz to different locations beside Fla.
I have no clue what he sold the majority of the company for, but he sold the majority about a year back. https://newspringcapital.com/news/2...nvest-in-classic-car-industry-leader-burnyzz#

He can’t just spend Burnyzz cash willy-nilly since he has owners to report to, but he may have enough cash in his bank account to fund it or possibly there will be a positive ROI for a Burnyzz sponsorship I still wonder where R+L went.

Hart still runs Burnyzz. He's a very smart businessman . You don't get where he's at by doing things willy-nilly. Hopefully R&L will still be around along with Monster , Hendricks cars etc.
