I didn't see the show, but that sounds like the true John Force.

In the late '90s, I was lucky enough to go to someone's party after a matchrace he was running at with Tony Pedregon. (ok, I kinda just went without an invite. Never got thrown out though...)

After what seemed like 8 cases of Budweiser, Force decided it was time to go fire the car up and do a burnout somewhere other than a dragstrip. Tony tried to talk some sense into him, and got "fired" a couple of times that night as a result.

Obviously no burnout, Tony still had a job the next day, and Force, well, let's just say his stock went up in my book that weekend. He's just one of the guys, and a dam good one at that. Kept everyone laughing all night.
