John Force 3.987/323.50. THE NEW PROCK ROCKET!

Totally awesome to see John Force in the 3's! And Court 329 - wow!

Go JFR! Win one - hopefully two - this weekend! :D

Classic case of missing it. 329 was confirmed and is legit. That is incredible. Great day for JFR.

I want to believe but I am amazed they ruled it would stand. John was 3mph faster at the half and was .01 quicker in covering the last 340 feet. If she backs it up though then holy moly, that would be the biggest performance leap in the nitro categories for some time.

Quick look at the front wheel speed data would tell the team. I have my doubts on the speed for Courtney but...

The Prock Rocket going 3.98 @ 323 on a 100* track is damn impressive.

When you hear John talk he was almost more impressed by Courtney's car roaring up and past him than he was of his first 3. Might have been immediate lobbying on his part to have the speed stick, but I personally believe him, and the MPH. Lots of great numbers came out of a rather warm weather session, and the warmer air (less dense) was easier to push through, so I believe it. A huge jump, but believable.

Good question.

Either way, good job JFR.

This kinda reminds me of a race in Pomona. A guy "GEEK" in the stands says I don't
like John Force..yada, yada, yada, later I'm making my rounds in the pit's and Guess who is standing in the front row yelling at John for an autograph? Yep, The Geek!!

Wow, Courtney must have had rocket propulsion at the top end. I'd like to see that run. I'm sure they'll show it. John must have staged very shallow and she must have deep staged for the ET's to be off like that.

Never trust what you read in the media. From NBC Sports. Read it carefully. :D

"Friday marked a big day for the father-and-son team of John and Courtney Force at the Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals in Maple Grove, Pa. in their Castrol and Traxxas Fords."

Cute young feller you have there John....not that there's anything wrong with that:D

Courtney Force's 329 mile per hour speed recorded during the NHRA Auto Plus Nationals will be disallowed. This per Compulink founder and timing system expert Bob Brockmeyer with confirmation from Graham Light.

The source of the speed malfunction, according to Brockmeyer, has been traced to a glare of sunlight down into the speed trap beams revealed during ESPN slow motion video. Full story coming later.

From NHRA on Twitter:
Courtney Force's 329 mph speed was determined to be an invalid clocking. John Force's 323.50 is the fastest speed in FC history.

I'm surprised they didn't blame it on a photographer's flash. :p

Are they still going to allow her to keep her ET?

Personally, this is BS. Funny that it only happened to her car and no one else's....
