Indianapolis, IN – The Mac Tools U.S. Nationals at O'Reilly Raceway Park this Labor Day weekend is the next stop for Joey Martin and the T.A.R.E. team on the AMS Promod tour and he is still on that train heading towards his first championship.
Joey Martin, driving the T.A.R.E. (Tindle Ashley Racing Enterprises) GT 500 Mustang, powered by Chuck Ford, has been on a roll, reaching three straight finals and qualifying number one in the AMS Promod Challenge Shootout, presented by RPM depot. This consistency has elevated him from the bottom to 2nd in the Promod point standings, just 124 points from the number one spot. Martin is looking to continue this streak into Indy, competing in two events for the weekend.
“We have been on an upswing since Bristol and winning a race like the US Nationals would be a great accomplishment for the team. You can count on Chuck Ford having his head in the game and ready to play ball,” stated Martin.
Martin, with the help of Chuck Ford, Andy Pinkerton, Andy Denny, took the number one spot in Memphis and defeated the number sixteen qualifier just before the Promod race was cancelled due to rain.
