He's in Italy. If he isn't there, the car doesn't run.JHR makes the count down and doesn't enter Maple Grove ?

When you own a business the size of Head's and it calls for him to be somewhere, that F/C is not going to be the first choice for the weekend. So then the question becomes...JHR makes the count down and goes to Italy?

No one should be running in the pro ranks as an amateur or hobbyist. A lot of people depend on pro events to make their living. Everyone involved should act as a professional all the time. You don't see hobbyists in other sports, do you? Could you imagine if the Arizona Cardinals did not show up for an NFL game because the owner was out of town?Putting it into perspective many of the current teams are self funded. This is their hobby amazingly. Business is always first.
Maybe you should stop by the next race and tell Jim Head that. Its his team,he can do what he wants. Then you should make arrangements so that someone else can be there to run the team. That's what a professional does.

I'd be happy to.Maybe you should stop by the next race and tell Jim Head that. Its his team,he can do what he wants.
Let me know the outcome lol!!I'd be happy to.
If NHRA wants to be a pro-level sport, it needs everyone involved to be operating as a pro.
Let's be realistic, there isn't that many "Pro" teams out there anymore and to compare motorsports to stick an ball teams is ludicrous.
NHRA was built on part-time teams. Nobody could afford to run the entire circuit.
If Head doesn’t want to run the entire circuit, that’s his decision.
Personally, I like seeing a part-timer coming in and shaking up the status quo.
If NHRA wants full-time money from television and sponsors, it can't be built on part-time teams.
Please make sure you get it on video so we can all enjoy.I'd be happy to.

The pro ranks would be truly pro if they paid enough to not need to have another job or raise sponsor dollars. The Arizona Cardinals all make enough money they don’t need to do anything else. If the self-funded teams all left, it would be goodbye Doug K, goodbye Salinas, goodbye Haddock, goodbye Head, etc.No one should be running in the pro ranks as an amateur or hobbyist.
