Jeggie in a Mopar next year? (1 Viewer)

This is way cool and great for both Pro Stock and the NHRA, Jeg brings a lot to the table.

 I thought their motor program was based on Chevrolet, if Mopar is true who's HP will he be using?

His Own. I am not really sure if it's just GM based but I would think if he wanted Mopar he already made the necessary mods. I don't think he would come back and run and not use his own investments. As far as a caddy, I also wondered why it never happened sooner, I'm hoping that that is not just another rumor, it be nice to have an XLR or CTS out there.

I also hope this happens, it would make PS more interesting.

The Cad CTS-V is insane, a friend of mine got one and then went to town on it after it only had 3000 miles, bigger injectors, more boost, cam, headwork, etc., ending up with over 600 HP at the rear wheels.

He went in the high 10's with sticky drag radials and then got booted out of the strip. He took myself and my son for test drive and I couldn't believe the acceleration for a street car, its totally unreal, even my very hard to impress teenage son had his mind totally blown, he now has no mind.

in this weeks national dragster, jason line was saying to his crew, i wish they would come out with a camaro or cadillac so they could just re-skin his current chassis, now a cts coupe pro stocker would be sooooo cool!

Why not???

All of the other cars in Pro Stock have been. :p

Did you see that Camaro from an earlier post? Does that look "stock" to you?

I was thinking the same thing. That body looks more like a Pro Mod than a Pro Stock - it's way more swoopy than a stock Camaro body! :)

Whatever he drives it will be cool to have Jeggie back in the pro ranks.

With all respect to Allen and Roy Johnson, I kinda stopped believing the "next year, new car, powerful engine, we made serious gains" quotes 2 seasons ago. I would love to see them run for a title, it's a let down every year tho, there program is alotta talk, dominate denver, and that all till next season. They need to find the missing piece of the puzzle. AJ is shakey still on the tree but he's not as bad as he was. I like to see them strong.

none of my business but why are you so eager to form such negative opinions?

first of all i asked two questions; you haven't answered either of them.

second if you'd notice allen & vincent are 4th & 5th in points with their
'a lot of talk' program, behind only mr. edwards and team summit;
followed closely by another great cagnazzi program which holds the current
mph record.

I guess this is one bet I would have lost.

Oh well, you can't win them all..........

Alan

I think this just reflect exactly how hard it is to win in this class.

Let's look at the qualifying times from the last race. Difference in times from 1st to 16th was 0.063 of a second, a little over a 1/16th of a second. It takes .33 seconds to blink an eye.

Even if a team only gets one win in a season, that's nothing to sneeze at in this cxompetetive environment IMHO.

Actually your right I was a little harsh, I just feel that this is one team that has a hard time keeping the power they have. All the promise in the pre-season and then the 40's they did run, it seemed like this was there year. You cant accuse me of not trying to answer your questions becuase my intention was not to, I have no answer and I was never going to offer up an answer.

Actually, that new car is running very strong since they brought on Jim Yates to help sort the chassis. Two runner up finishes in the last two races is saying something.

I would have lost too!

I like Mopar for their investment in Drag Racing, but it makes my GUT hurt thinking of Jeg Jr back running a Hemi. He belongs in a GM product, even with his great driving abilities, 1 win maybe.

Hope it's not TRUE!

Your actually right, I really have not realized he was in the last 2 finals (not being sarcastic) I retract most of what I said, I had no idea they hired Yates either, I guess I been living under a rock with Pro-Stock
