Jeggie in a Mopar next year? (1 Viewer)

Just for the record, I didn't say I knew something, I said "If I were a betting man". I often take the longshot.........

But usually only if I know something............

Find out at SEMA

Alan

Yea lol just wait till Nascar and Danica dont work and she comes into the NHRA!

Why do you climb Mt. Everest? Because it's there.

Jeggie has climbed the Pro Stock Mt. Everest 4 times. It was obvious when he went away he lost a lot of passion for it. There was no reason for him to stop other than he didn't want to do it anymore. Jeggie is in a fantastic position that a mere mortal like myself does not pretend to understand. He has the means and talent to do whatever he chooses. Maybe Pro Stock doesn't do it for Jeggie anymore and he needs that new challenge ... the first steps into the unknown. That unknown could be a flopper burning nitro.

I won't be surprised when Jeggie comes back in whatever he chooses to come back in (well a motorcycle would surprise me). I just hope he comes back. Drag Racing is much better and stronger with Jeggie in the program.

jeg wouldnt be nearly as effective in a nitro car than in a pro stocker. more than half the pro stock runs are decided on the starting line. quick reaction times dont help u in nitro racing unless u have a crewchief who can string together some competitive runs !

Very true. Perfect Example Spencer Massey and Shawn Langston. Amazing on the tree. Their sunday record cannot be compared. John Stewart is by no means a bad crew chief, he just does not have it as together as the Fram team, but he has the potential

How could that oxcart be competitive? The thing is twice as big as its competition. Do you think NHRA will let them slice and dice it like the Dakota in P/S Truck?

Why not???

All of the other cars in Pro Stock have been. :p

Did you see that Camaro from an earlier post? Does that look "stock" to you?

Speaking of Oxcarts, have you actually seen a 2011 Camaro parked next to a 2011 Challenger? In the same breath, do you think NHRA will let them slice and dice the Camaro like the Dakota in P/S Truck?

I like my chances with Jeggie in the seat after he acclimates. It hasn't hurt Antron Brown or Johnny Gray.

I have always wondered why hasn't there ever been a toyota, or a nissan.

Consider the younger generations interest in "Hot Rods". Jeg in a Solara could attrack a lot of new faces as well as grow the families business. Maybe the past couple of years have been devoted to engine development. Just thinking outside the box. Ok, random guessing.

Uh...NO!!

We got Toyota in FC, but then again PS is slightly a bit more appearance related to the real car but not by much. I mean really tho, The big 3 are not the trends of America and I wont say most, but many NHRA fans must drive foreign. There may be big money to be had to a team who brought in Honda, Nissan, or Toyota, tho I hate saying that because it may just drive the price to race PS further through the roof.

As far as Jeggie running something different than PS, didn't he just embark upon an engine development program for PS? Not sure they would do that if he was headed to nitro or PM. And regarding bodies, I think given the liberties taken in Pro Stock, they could make a Challenger competitive with the others. Camaros and Challengers and Mustangs oh my!!

I certainly agree and I feel his only home is PS, but his desires we will never know. As far as engine development, having an chance to buy a motor from Jeg and Roy Simmons (technically I am not sure but Jeg must have a good technical background, as for Roy he is one of the best tuners you could of hired) is something I think is going to be very, very profitable if and only if Jeg is running the motor and is doing very very well.

that car looks like a '98 Mustang more than anything else...is there some sort of Dodge that looks like that?

It looks to me like the exact same preview of the 2005 car and makes me think did they just use that for now. I would think that any big name team is gonna run the avenger and not a stratus. So he's not linked to Cagnazzi anyone I see? So next year can we count on Erica being around?

Update: I'm right, I did not read the word "rendering from 2005"
