Q. When was the last time Doug Kalitta DNQ'd?

A. 2000 Phoenix Event

The break in Doug's streak has been overshadowed by the break in John Force's streak today.

Both Special K and Papa John have been playin' it close all year... Hate that both streaks ended...

But back in the day when we had 60 plus cars trying to make a 32 car show... going a couple of seasons... (8-10 races) and not missing a show was big... to go a hundred races plus is mind boggling...

Now... next fuels cars are shoe @89, David @ 75, and TJ @ 66...

with #1 and 2 falling this week. Angelle and Antron are the new #1 and #2 in active qualifing streaks

And does anyone remember when I about got tarred and feathered when Kalitta Trilogy posted Foose was going to run on Kalitta's car and I stated that I hoped Douggie got some "steady tuning soon."

No?

Well, this is what I was talking about.
Not that the guys he has can't do it. I just want them to get it steady. Consistent. Whatever you want to call it. It isn't what it was. Do you need more proof?

Heck - Take a look at several teams right now - Force isn't running up to par - Shoe isn't consistent - Herbert still hasn't found the combo. It is what it is.

DLB

BTW - If you look at my pick the winners - Doug K. was my first DNQ'r. Doug is my #2 top fuel driver I suppose when it comes down to it. (Although that game isn't always about your favorites).
