Anybody got a pic of the headers that were on his car for 3rd rd qualifying? I missed that part of qualifying and only heard them talk about them during Q4.

I'd love to see a comparison between them and the normal headers they run. To me, it seems like all the TF headers are laid back, the set that JR tried out were obviously longer which pushed them toward the outer edge of the slicks, not sure if the angle was any more laid back.

Dexter Tuttle ran some on his car at the end of last year also. I'm surprised it took this long for someone else to try.

Looks like it gets the exhaust away from the face of the slick. I wonder if that has any effect on anything?

This is Lou Patane's TF car from '79. It was a Sarte car that had a lot of FC qualities, including the headers. Lou was a guy my dad built engines for in the '70s here in NY, when Lou moved to Phoenix he tried his hand at TF. Years later Lou became head of Chrysler Motorsports.
