Hoping I'm not breaking any site rules here... If so, please delete.

The wife got us a pair of tickets for Maple Grove (Saturday and Sunday). And wouldn't you know it- Mr. Parsons has two shows booked for that same weekend now *yes- I have to be there.

I hate to miss ANOTHER race this year ( I've been booked on shows for Vegas 1, Charlotte 1 and Epping), but gotta do the grown-up adult Work thing. Selling the electronic tickets that can be emailed, paid by Venmo.

DM me here for more info. Thanks, fellow 'Maters

Are you Sirius? That’s not right. The Games People Play sometimes… your Time should be your own. Being self employed, I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You and have to answer to a boss all the time. It’s enough to give someone a Breakdown…
Ahh, what do I know? Most people Don’t Answer Me anyway …

Here’s what you do:
1. Thursday morning- you make her breakfast and say, “This weekend is going to be SO fun; I’m glad we’re doing this!”

2. Friday morning - don’t have do make breakfast; just a big hug and a cup of coffee and say, “Are you getting excited to see Alan tomorrow?”

3. Make sure to post a selfie here on Saturday with you, her and Alan Johnson in the nitro pits 🤣

This may be dumb but don't big touring artists book their shows months in advance?

There are no dumb questions... only dumb people asking them :p
Just kidding.... I had a friend who was the sound man for the ABC tv broadcast of the Kentucky Derby and we all know that is planned way in advance every year, and yet it always seemed to be an emergency when the day came.... weather, technical problems, workers not showing up, changes in the set up of the venue, etc

Not a dumb question. Alan has had some health issues over the past few years, and he is clearing the board on some of the ones that were missed. Sometimes I have months of heads-up, and sometimes I get the "Now, yeah NOW" calls from some of my other clients, including on occasion, Mr. Parsons.

I didn't know he was still touring. Didn't he mix/co-produce "Dark Side of the Moon" ?

How long have you been with him?
Thinking back, I remember his work into the 70's.
I've been with the Parsons camp since 2004 (officially the longest tenured crew member of his career) as his lighting and visual designer for the live videos as well as the programmer/ visual director for all the shows. Lovely people; very much family... I met my wife because of him and we had our first date at his house. When we got married, not only did he and his family attend, but he sang karaoke to one of his own songs at the reception. Surreal moment for all the guests.
