If you’ve been around Nitromater for a while, you know this community has always been about passion — passion for drag racing, for the people in the sport, and for the fans who live and breathe nitro. Today, I’m excited to introduce the new style and direction for Nitromater.com — something I’ve personally wanted to build for a long time: a design inspired by the legendary Scotty Cannon era.
Over the years, Nitromater has transformed from a single-driver fan site into a respected destination for drag racing discussions, tech insights, event coverage, and real community interaction — while always keeping that grassroots, community-driven spirit that made it special in the first place.
This new design pays tribute to that history while pushing us forward into the next era.
You’ll notice:
Podcasts
We’re bringing more voices into the conversation with dedicated podcast content focused on drag racing news, stories, interviews, and insider perspectives.
Classified Section
Buy, sell, and trade within the community. Whether you’re moving parts, promoting services, or finding your next project, this area is built for racers and enthusiasts.
Track Directory (Work in Progress)
A growing resource to help connect racers and fans with tracks across the country. This is still being developed, and community input will help shape it.
Deepstage Racing Game
Something fun for the community — the Deepstage game adds a competitive and interactive element that captures the spirit of drag racing competition in a new way.
To everyone who has posted, shared knowledge, helped other members, debated races, followed events, and kept the conversations alive over the years — thank you. Your loyalty and passion have made Nitromater what it is today. This site has always been more than just a forum; it’s a community built by people who genuinely care about drag racing and each other.
This new style and these new features are just the next step in the journey — and I’m excited to continue building it together with all of you.
As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and ideas as we keep pushing Nitromater forward.
Thank you for being part of Nitromater.com — where the internet meets nitromethane.

A Nod to the Past — The History of Nitromater
Nitromater.com is one of the longest-running online communities dedicated to drag racing. Originally launched around 2000 as a fan forum centered around driver Scotty Cannon, it quickly grew beyond its original purpose. What started as a gathering place for fans evolved into a thriving hub where racers, fans, crew members, and industry insiders could come together to share news, discuss events, exchange technical knowledge, and celebrate the sport we all love.Over the years, Nitromater has transformed from a single-driver fan site into a respected destination for drag racing discussions, tech insights, event coverage, and real community interaction — while always keeping that grassroots, community-driven spirit that made it special in the first place.
This new design pays tribute to that history while pushing us forward into the next era.
The New Style — Scotty Cannon Inspired
The updated look is heavily inspired by the energy and attitude of the Scotty Cannon years — bold, aggressive, and unmistakably drag racing. The goal was to capture the feel of standing at the starting line: high energy, clean performance-focused visuals, and a design that puts content and community front and center. You’ll notice:
- A stronger visual identity rooted in drag racing culture
- Improved layout and readability
- Better organization of features and content
- A style that reflects both nostalgia and modern performance
