blake alexander on FC list with pronto/schaeffler backing. going to be a tough field to crack. hope he does it.
17 so far in hemi shootout. lenny lottig with entry.

Don't really know why, but my all time favorite funny car is Tom McEwen's 'Mongoose'. Paul Lee will paying a tribute to the Mongoose. I'm on the fence right now, as far attending the race, but if i do, that'l definitely be my the first snapshot

I just downloaded my tickets for the weekend, leaving next Friday around noon, should arrive around 2pm. Pumped up about the number of nitro cars trying to make the show, feels like it's been some time since this many cars showed up.

the play nhra all star callout. IMO not as cool as the title 'Big Bud Shootout', but i guess that's what they've got,
and the winner gets $80k ....... jack beckman will be rockin' the john force '96 retro livery. the flames look awesome.

my nationals bucket list is walking the staging lanes on wed and thurs.
this year, for the first time in a long time, it really does feel like the old times with so many FC's and TF'rs.

1971, I camped out for 4 days. Got rained on and had to sleep in my car. I was 19, and loved it then. Today it doesn’t seem so cool

'89 camped across street in campground fri. night thru monday finals. i was 23.
there were 3 of us in a conversion van. today that doesn't seem so cool either.

Been doing Fri-Mon for 25ish straight years now. Plus handful of times as a lil kid in the 80's. Looking forward to this years trip. My daughter has her media pass as she has a growing drag racing page on all the socials. It's always great seeing the cars and the racing but now cool watching your kid chase their dream and doing interviews and such.

couple more days till the big go commences. the only positive with weather system supposedly forecast for late in week,
maybe slightly cooler temps will sweep in behind for sunday and monday? wed/thur/fri look to be brutally hot and humid.
..... wow, 43 comp cars. is there any 2026 roof-tec money associated with indy comp this year?

didn't know where to put this, but it's indy week and mitch kalitta is once again on TAD entry list, this time
as a first time winner. yesterday at BG he edged out his teammate jennifer weins (who just tested at bir a week ago)
in an all randy meyers racing final. chris foster also picking up big win yesterday in TAFC.
it looks to be TJ tindle jr. in 2nd meyer digger this week, along with mitch k. ..... TAD is getting ultra competitive.
(2) each from meyer, noonan, and mcphillips, plus all the usual heavy hitters.
