Inaugural Great Lakes Nationals (25 Viewers)

watching clay's video from friday, towing back to their pits i noticed the doucette trailer as they passed by.

pretty sure alan was driving @ BIR
The Doucette team was at their home track in Manitoba during the Labour Day weekend running an A/Fuel Dragster match race against the Clif Bakx dragster "The Bull". They ran a best of 5.300 @ 271.37 for both ends of the track record. Gord Gingles was driving the Doucette car.

I wasn't aware; thank you.

Last time I checked the larger teams carry 10 or more spares for all the reasons you already know. Terry Haddock doesn't have that advantage. Not that there's anything wrong with having a trailer full of parts; that goes hand in hand with teams that have access to multimillion-dollar sponsorship. Still, I find it a bit sad when Haddock has to work hard just to come up with one competitive blower when Team Force can put a new one on all of their cars after every pass at every race if they so choose.

You work with a small team and do a hell of a good job based on limited exposure and funding. You know how it goes.
But isn't it fun when a Haddock or a Zizzo beats a Force car?

Don't ever forget that there was a day when Force would've looked at Terry Haddock's current operation and think to himself: Someday, maybe that will be me.

He started with less than nothing and built the empire. I can guarantee you, Terry has that same dream.

Connie bought his first plane with a few bucks he won racing, but he also didn't start out with a Silver Spoon or a Trust Fund.
